December for the Kearns

Macey and her friend Avalyn playing in the snow.

Ice cream anyone?! As you can tell, we're all very excited about it!

Grandma and Grandpa Kearns, those candy canes were the kids favorite gifts!

Macey and Logan opening their Mega blocks. I think Alan was more excited about them then the kids.

Merry Christmas!

Before the sprint down the stairs to the Christmas tree.

Angela and Evan

Alan's sister Angela and her boyfriend Evan came last weekend. We had a great time hanging out with them. Macey LOVED Angela. We went to our friends house and made apple cider on their cider press. It was yummy.

Already driving.
These are Macey's two best friends. Estelle and Avalyn.

Logan is pulling himself up on EVERYTHING. He's loving his new found freedom

Aaron's wedding

Alan's brother Aaron got married the end of September. It was a lot of fun seeing all of Alan's siblings and his parents. Logan and his cousin Bryant were the only two kids around, so they got plenty of attention. Can you tell these two boys are related?!

Tonsils and Adenoids

Macey had her tonsils and adenoids out in September. She is like a new girl. We are so grateful that we found an answer to all her health problems. It was a hard recovery but she's doing wonderful now.

This is right before surgery. Alan took Macey back before they put her under. As you can tell she's a little nervous.

Boo

I made these boo blocks the other day. I've had a few people ask me how to do them. I just used 2x4s' or 2x6's paint them, cut out scrapbook paper to fit the block size, apply modpodge to the block and stick on the scrapbook paper. I print the letters from word and just have them outlined if I want white letters, and then I cut them out. I do Modpodge over the scrapbook paper, apply the letters, and then do Modpodge over the letters. I love Modpodge!

Family

For Enrichment I taught how to make these blocks. They are super easy and cheap to make. (Here they are Kari!)

Life latley

Life has been pretty busy since June. We had two big vacations weeks apart and a little excitement in between. Here's a bunch of pictures so you can see what's been going on.

Branson/Arkansas

Mid June we went on a vacation/Blair side family reunion to Branson Missouri and Mena Arkansas. We had a wonderful time enjoying the shows in Branson, and the outdoors in Mena.

We took the red eye in hopes that the kids would sleep the whole flight. No luck. Macey was delirious with tiredness but just wouldn't lay down and relax. She finally fell asleep 30 minutes before we landed. I never want to do that again!

It was fun to see my sisters son Russell who is one month younger then Logan.

We spent a day at the water park.

In Mena we did a little pond fishing. Grandpa had the special fishing pole that kept catching fish!

Macey's Febrile Seizure

Right before our vacation to Afton Macey started running a fever. It was only 102 but I thought I'd just call the doctor and talk to them, they said if I wanted to bring her in they had an appointment open in an hour. I wasn't going to take her in, but last minute thought I would. Alan randomly had an open morning and said he'd come along. While in the doctors office Macey had a Febrile Seizure. These type of seizures happen when your temp. spikes quickly.

Macey's was a pretty bad one. She quit breathing and turned blue. There were about 5 doctors in the room and they were pretty stressed. We later heard her oxygen level was at a 60 which is pretty low I guess. She finally came out of the seizure and the doctors called for an ambulance to take her to the hospital. When she got there her temp was 106. They kept her for 24 hours and she was fine. She recovered pretty quickly.

It was very scary. I was so glad that we were at the doctors office, and that Alan was there also. What a blessing.

I love that cheesey smile!

Macey loved riding with Grandpa
Grandpa wore the kids out as they raced each other.

We hiked up to the intermittent spring.
