We discovered that Macey loves push cars like this one. Every time we've been at friends houses who have them she loves them. So I decided I needed to find one for her. I checked on craigslist to see if I could find one, but they weren't much cheaper then the ones at the store. The next day as I was taking the garbage out, guess what I saw next to the dumpster? You guessed it. This car. (For those who know Alan and I, you won't be surprised what I did.) It had some peeling stickers on it and the plastic was faded from sun, but it looked fine other then that. I waited a few day just to make sure no kid left it there on accident, and then I took it! It's now Macey's all time favorite toy.
In my defense, those of you who are thinking what a horrible mom I am for giving my daughter something from the garbage, it was actually next to the garbage and I gave it a good cleaning before I let her touch it.

So, uh, we have a lot of things we've gotten that other people were throwing away. It's totally cool to do. And I think Macey might be beating my kids in cuteness!!
That's awesome. I think Macey looks a lot like Alan, especially in these pictures.
More power to you for reusing what others consider trash! We give away what we no longer need and use what others no longer need or want. I bet Macey loves her new toy! I love how quick kids pick up things - the wipey and the calculator are too cute! Thanks for posting so we can "see" how you are all doing!
Love, Cousin Rachael
RECYCLE!! Not everything people throw away is ready to be thrown away! One persons garbage is another persons treasure! In this case, macey's treasure! She really is so cute...
I can see her little teeth!!
You guys have a great couch too by the way!
Look how old she looks!! (I also am a big fan of free stuff!)
